I år oppfordrer vi kunstnere som arbeider med trykketeknikker til å søke.
Generell informasjon
- Ledig tidsrom for opphold: 01.11. 2024 – 15.12.2025
- Varighet for opphold: 1 måned – 3 måneder
- Privat/delt bolig
- Et privat studio inne i AiR-leiligheten er utstyrt med arbeidsbord, kontorstol, god plass på veggene og både naturlig og kunstig belysning.
- Det er ingen søknadsgebyr.
- Profesjonelle billedkunstnere fra Norge og utlandet. Søkeren må ha fullført en bachelorgrad eller en mastergrad ved en godkjent kunstskole eller kunstakademi.
- Leiligheten vår er gratis å leie. Alle utgifter knyttet til strøm og internett dekkes også av Kristiansand kommune. Det er ingen generelle midler/stipend knyttet til AiR-Kristiansand, bortsett fra fra Kulturskolesekken-programmet.
- Hver søker er ansvarlig for sin egen finansiering. Oppholdet er selvfinansiert (kunstnerne må dekke alle utgifter, som levekostnader, reise, materialer, forsikring og transport). Vi oppfordrer alle søkere til å søke om finansiering i sine hjemland.
Forventninger til kunstneren
Vi oppfordrer kunstnere til å holde kunstnertaler og arrangere besøk i studioet, men vi respekterer at ikke alle kunstnere vil ønske å ha besøk i studioet og/eller vise det de har produsert, derfor behandles dette på individuell basis. Hvis du har spesifikke ønsker, er du velkommen til å inkludere det i prosjektforslaget ditt.

Om oss
Kunstneroppholdet i Kristiansand, Norge, er åpent hele året og gir profesjonelle billedkunstnere sårt tiltrengt plass og tid til å arbeide med et prosjekt etter eget valg. AiR-Kristiansand drives av Agder Senter for Samtidskunst, på vegne av Kristiansand kommune. Søknadene vurderes av et kunstutvalg hvis innsats sikrer at et bredt spekter av kunstneriske stiler og nasjonale opprinnelser er representert.

Open Call for fall 2024 and all of 2025 at the Artist in Recidency in Kristiansand, Norway
This year we urge artist who work with printing techniques to apply.
Applicants who work with printing mediums will receive priority in recognition of Fellesverkstedet Myren Grafikk’s 50 year jubilee in 2025!
General information
- Available period for residency: 01.11. 2024 – 15.12.2025
- Duration of residency: 1 month – 3 months
- Private/shared accommodation
- A private studio inside the AiR-apartment is equipped with a work desk, office chair, ample wall space, and both natural and artificial lighting
- No Application fee required.
- Professional visual artists from Norway and abroad. The applicant must have completed a Bachelor degree or a Master degree at an approved Art College or Art Academy.
- Our apartment is rent-free. All expenses related to electricity and internet are also covered by Kristiansand municipality. There are no general funds/scholarships linked to AiR-Kristiansand accept from the Cultural Rucksack program.
- Each applicant is responsible for their own funding. The residency is self-catered (artists have to cover all expenses, such as living costs, travel, materials, insurance and transport). We encourage all applicants to apply for funding in their home countries.
Expectations towards the artist
We encourage Artists to hold Artist-talks and host studio visits, but we respect that not all artists will want to host studio visits and/or show what they have produced, therefore this is handled on an individual basis. If you have specific requests please feel free to include it in your project proposal.

About us
The Artist in residency in Kristiansand, Norway, is open year-round, providing professional visual artists much-needed space and time to work on a project of their choice. AiR-Kristiansand is run by Agder Center of Contemporary Art, on behalf of the Municipality of Kristiansand. The applications are reviewed by an art committee whose efforts ensure that a broad range of artistic styles and national origins is represented.
